Brooklyn Style Pizza Roll
INGREDIENTS
-1 large ball of pizza dough (recipe here or get dough from local pizzaria)
-1/2 to 3/4 lb fresh salted mozzarella
-1/2 to 3/4 cup crushed tomatoes
-olive oil
-flour
INGREDIENTS
-heat oven to 450
-Slice mozzarella thin and set aside.
-Take a generous amount of flour and cover your cutting board.
-Using your knuckles, pound pizza dough. Ball your hands into fists, knuckles up, and thin the pizza dough that way. Thin it until it's a little thicker than paper.
-Spoon the crushed tomatoes onto the dough - leave room around the edges
-Place mozzarella onto the sauced dough. Drizzle with olive oil.
-Drizzle olive oil on a baking sheet
-Grab a long side of the pizza and toll it toward you
jelly roll style. Put pizza roll on baking dish and
drizzle top with olive oil. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Slice with a serrated knife
