Chocolate Covered Toffee
INGREDIENTS
-1 cup butter
-1 cup sugar
-pinch of salt
-8 oz baking chocolate
PROCEDURE
-Turn heat on
stove to medium
-Melt butter and sugar and salt in a heavy pot. Bring it up to a boil and let it get to 285 degrees (you can use a candy thermometer or give it about 6 minutes).
-Pour melted butter and sugar into a 13x9 metal baking dish. Give it a few minutes to cool then use a spatula to spread the chocolate on top.
-Put toffee in the fridge for an hour to chill. After an hour, break it up and eat!
